4 Pack Silicone Car Cup Holder Coasters 3.15 Inch Non-Slip Cup Holder Inserts Heat Resistant

Original price was: $4.98.Current price is: $2.38.

A four-pack of 3.15 in (80 mm) food-grade silicone coasters for round car cup holders. A low raised rim holds the drip or the condensation that would otherwise end up in the bottom of the holder, and a moulded grid on the underside grips the plastic underneath so cans and bottles stop rocking. 5 mm thick, heat resistant to 446 °F, odour-free and dishwasher safe — pull one out, tip it, rinse it. Fits round holders wider than 80 mm, which covers most cars, SUVs and trucks; measure yours first. Not for oval, square or rectangular holders.

Two round charcoal black silicone cup holder coasters, one showing the smooth top and rim and one showing the grid underside

Four silicone coasters that drop into the holders and take the mess instead of the console — smooth face up, grip grid underneath.

Why it matters

The dirtiest two holes in your car.

Coffee drips, condensation off a cold can, a splash of soda on the way round a corner — it all ends up in the same place, and the walls are deeper than a finger and narrower than a cloth. Wipe it and you spread it around; leave it and over a season or two the bottom of the holder sets into a dull, sticky ring. A liner is the part that takes the mess so the plastic underneath never has to.

  • ✓Coffee sets into the base. Once a drip has dried and bonded to the plastic, wiping just moves it around the bottom of the holder.
  • ✓Condensation pools under cold drinks. A can sweating in a warm car leaves a ring of water that sits there until it turns sticky.
  • ✓Cans and bottles rock on bare plastic. Holders are moulded for the largest cup they might see, so everything smaller rattles around the bottom.
  • ✓A cloth will not reach. The walls are too deep and too narrow to clean properly, and that is how the smell starts.

What it does

A rim to catch the drip, a grid to stop the rattle.

Two details carry the whole job. Around the edge sits a low raised rim, so when a cup is tipped or a can sweats the liquid stays on the coaster — tip it into the sink next time you are at the car, and that is the end of it. Underneath, the silicone is moulded into a fine grid: it grips the plastic of the holder, and the soft material presses against the base of a can or bottle so it stops rocking while you drive.

Seated in the holder with a plain steel tumbler on top — the coaster is doing the work, the console stays clean.

01
Raised rim contains the spill
A tipped coffee or a sweating can leaves its liquid on the coaster, where it can be tipped out, instead of in the console.
02
Grid base grips both ways
The moulded underside holds the holder and damps the rattle of a can or bottle — bare plastic does neither.
03
Soft, so nothing gets scuffed
Silicone flexes against the plastic instead of grinding into it the way a hard insert or a metal base does.
04
Four in the pack
Both holders at once, or one pair per car — the whole set gets replaced together, no odd one left out.

Build & details

Food-grade silicone, thick enough to matter.

A cheap liner fails in two ways: it is too thin to damp any vibration, and it is made of a rubber that smells of the factory the moment something hot sits on it. This one is moulded from food-grade silicone with no filler odour, at 5 mm thick — enough to absorb the rattle of a can and the heat of a fresh coffee, and still thin enough that a cup sits at the height the holder was designed for.

The cross-section: a raised rim on top, 5 mm of silicone through the middle, and the moulded grip grid underneath.

  • ✓Food-grade silicone, odour-free. No plastic or rubber smell when a hot drink sits on it, and no taste carried to anything it touches.
  • ✓5 mm thick. Thick enough to soak up the rattle and the heat, thin enough that cups and lids still sit where they should.
  • ✓Heat resistant to 446 °F (230 °C). Hot coffee, a sun-baked console and the dishwasher are all well inside its range.
  • ✓Moulded grid underneath. A textured face rather than a smooth one, so the coaster grips instead of sliding when the cup moves.
Fitting it

Measure once, then it is a rinse at the sink.

There is nothing to install and no adhesive — the whole thing is two fingers and a tap. The only step worth doing slowly is the measuring.

1
Measure the inside of a holder
Across the widest point. The coaster needs more than 3.15 in (80 mm) to lie flat — most car, SUV and truck holders are 80–100 mm across.
2
Drop it in and press it flat
The flexible edge lets you seat it with two fingers, and it sits flush against the bottom of the holder. No adhesive, no tools.
3
Rinse it when it looks tired
Lift it out by the rim, tip the liquid away, rinse under the tap — or put it on the top rack of the dishwasher.

Cleaning is a rinse rather than a scrub — which is the point of an unlined holder being the alternative.

Will it fit

Will it fit your cup holders?

These are round and 80 mm across, which covers most holders in most cars — but the only reliable check is a measurement, so here is exactly what to check.

What to check This coaster Result
Holder diameter 3.15 in (80 mm) across Fits round holders wider than 80 mm — most are 80–100 mm
Holder shape Round disc Not for oval, square or rectangular door pockets
Holder depth 5 mm thick Sits flat on the base and raises a cup by 5 mm
Material and heat Food-grade silicone, to 446 °F (230 °C) Hot drinks and summer consoles are no problem
Cleaning Flexible, dishwasher safe Rinse under a tap, or top rack of the dishwasher
Quantity 4 coasters Both front and rear holders, with none left over
Note: measure the inside diameter of your cup holder before ordering. If it is narrower than 3.15 in (80 mm), or if it is oval or rectangular rather than round, the coaster will not sit flat in it.

How it compares

Silicone, thin foam, or a hard insert.

All three will sit in the bottom of a cup holder. What separates them is what happens after a summer on the dashboard and a winter of hot drinks.

Silicone 4-pack (these) Thin foam or rubber pads Hard plastic inserts
Thickness 5 mm of silicone — damps the rattle of a can 1–2 mm; too thin to absorb anything Rigid, so vibration transfers straight through
Spills Raised rim holds the liquid until you tip it out No rim; liquid runs straight off the edge Usually a tray, but with no give under the cup
The holder underneath Soft material, cannot scuff the plastic Fine once it stays put; slides when it does not Hard edges grind against the holder and mark it
Heat and sun To 446 °F; does not warp on a hot dashboard Curls and crinkles, and can smell when warm Brittle after a few summers; cracks at the edge
Cleaning Rinse or dishwasher; flexes back to shape Stains and holds smells; disintegrates when scrubbed Wipe only — crumbs collect in the seams
Fit 80 mm round; measure your holder Cut to size, so edges are always visible Model-specific; often does not sit flat
Who it suits Anyone who drinks in the car and wants a two-second clean-up A cheapest-possible stopgap Show cars where the tray never sees a spill

Care & maintenance

Almost no maintenance, and five seconds of it.

Silicone does not need conditioning, polishing or replacing on a schedule. Four small habits keep the set looking new and keep the holders underneath clean.

Four charcoal black silicone coasters fanned out on a worktop with a damp cloth behind them

Four in the pack, one damp cloth — the whole maintenance kit.

1
Rinse it before it dries
A coffee drip caught the same day takes five seconds under the tap. Left to dry on, it needs soap.
2
Dishwasher, top rack
Or warm soapy water and a wipe. Silicone does not mind either, and it flexes straight back to shape.
3
Wipe the holder once in a while
With the coaster out, give the plastic underneath a wipe so dust does not gather under the rim.
4
Keep the set together
All four are the same size, so they stay interchangeable between cars — measure again before fitting them to a different vehicle.

Before you buy

Questions we get most.

Will they fit my car?
Measure across the inside of one cup holder at its widest point. If it is wider than 3.15 in (80 mm), the coaster will sit flat. That covers most cars, SUVs and trucks, where holders are usually 80–100 mm across. Oval, square and rectangular door pockets will not take a round coaster.
Will a cup still fit on top of it?
Yes. The coaster adds 5 mm of height, which is well inside the tolerance of a normal cup holder, so cups, cans and travel mugs all still sit the way they did.
Do they stop cups rattling?
They damp the rattle a lot — the soft silicone absorbs the vibration and the grid grips the base of a can or bottle. What they do not do is change the diameter of the holder, so a very slim bottle in a very wide holder can still move around.
Are they dishwasher safe?
Yes, on the top rack. Warm soapy water works just as well, and either way the silicone flexes back to its original shape with no warping.
Do they smell?
No. They are moulded from food-grade silicone with no filler, so a hot coffee on the coaster does not bring out the rubber smell that cheap liners have.
