Stock plastic shocks are the weak point.
You jump, you land hard. The plastic shocks flex, leak oil, and bottom out. The truck bounces around and handles like a shopping cart.
- βͺΒ Β Plastic flexes on landing. Plastic shocks bend on hard landings. The truck bottoms out and the chassis slaps the ground.
- βͺΒ Β They leak oil. The plastic bodies crack and the oil leaks out. The shock goes mushy.
- βͺΒ Β No adjustment. Stock shocks are fixed. You cannot tune them for different tracks or surfaces.
- βͺΒ Β Aluminum shocks fix all of it. Rigid aluminum body, oil filled, adjustable preload. The truck handles like it should.

Four oil filled aluminum shocks, ready to bolt on.
Direct replacement for the stock plastic shocks. No modifications needed.

CNC machined aluminum body. Rigid, does not flex, does not crack.
Filled with silicone oil for consistent damping. No mushy feel.
Threaded spring collar. Tune the stiffness for your weight and track.
Two front and two rear. Replace all four at once for balanced handling.
The details that matter.
Cheap aluminum shocks have rough threads and leaky seals. These are machined clean.

- βͺΒ Β CNC machined threads. Clean threads that adjust smoothly. No cross threading.
- βͺΒ Β Rubber seals. The oil seals keep the oil in. No leaks after hard runs.
- βͺΒ Β Hard chrome shaft. The shaft is chrome plated. Does not rust, does not scratch.
- βͺΒ Β Spare o-rings included. A bag of spare o-rings and mounting screws in the box.
Swap out. Four steps.
No special tools beyond a hex wrench.
Take off the top and bottom screws. Pull the old plastic shocks off.
Compare the new aluminum shock to the old one. They should be the same length.
Line up the top and bottom mounts. Thread in the screws by hand, then tighten.
Tune the spring collar to your liking. Start in the middle and go from there.

Four rules that keep shocks performing.
Aluminum shocks last, but a few habits keep them leak free.
- βͺΒ Β Wipe the shaft after runs. Dirt on the shaft scratches the seals. Wipe it clean after each session.
- βͺΒ Β Do not over tighten preload. Cranking the spring all the way down bottoms out the shock. Start in the middle.
- βͺΒ Β Check oil level after a month. If the shock feels soft, top up the oil through the top cap.
- βͺΒ Β Do not run on harsh surfaces. Rocks and curbs beat up the shafts. Stick to dirt tracks.
